Food is a relationship

The mosaic is simple.  A little Thai, a little Chinese, global travel and a love affair with food since the sixth grade.  James is an iconoclastic chef who has created a world of abundance and admiration via creative and adventuresome cuisine.  Young, modest and bold, James has been on quite a ride.  Besides his restaurant Commis receiving the first and only Michelin Star rating in his hometown of Oakland, he also opened Hawker Fare, a unique urban neighborhood eating place and the site of his mom’s first restaurant.
