How to get young people to love the land

Alice represents a small group of young people who are choosing a career on the land. She will tell us how and why the work captured her & perhaps even challenge our notions of what it means to be a farmer.

    Howdy Alice,

I loved your talk, and would love to ask you a few questions about getting started as a farmer. Like: how do you get started as a farmer? Is there an e-mail, facebook, etc. way to contact you for advice?

    Thanks & Cheers,
    Casey

Thanks for your comments. Casey you could try the Soil Association Apprentice scheme or do a horticulture course. I think it is so useful to gain the practical skills. Once you have these it is easier to decide more specifically what you are looking for. Best wishes
